Happy

Happy (8″ x 8″)

It was inevitable that I would eventually work my way around to painting a pig. I think I will have to do another one that focuses more closely on the face. There is so much expression that I would like to capture, and I’m not sure that I’ve got it here. Stay tuned.

The Flock

The Flock 20″ x 16″

I actually had to look up whether a group of sheep is called a herd or a flock. Flock it is!

A Mix of Sun and Clouds

A Mix of Sun and Clouds 8″ x 8″

I decided to do a quick landscape – no cows, chickens or other animals in this one. I wanted the focus to be on the dramatic sky and huge puffy clouds.

Bart

Bart 14″ x 11″

“Cow in a Field” is a really boring name for a painting, so I’ll call him Bart.

Daisy the Cow

Daisy the Cow 14″ x 11″

I think these cows are cropping up in my paintings because of a recent trip to Alberta – a reminder of a lazy drive in the country on a sunny day.

Cows and a cat

Just dropped off several paintings at Stock Home Design, including these three. Such a beautiful little shop with so much to see!

A barn and a robin

Tiny paintings 3″ x 3″

This has not been the most productive summer, artwise. I did manage to complete these two little paintings for my aunt (to give to my other aunt). Thanks to Sandy for motivating me to get something done!

Yellow Hills

Yellow Hills 18″ x 24″

I was in Alberta this summer and had some time to appreciate the landscape. From the top of the one of the gentle rolling hills, you can see forever – so different from the view here in Vancouver. In the background you can see the Rochfort Bridge Trestle, one of the longest wooden train trestles in North America.

Grandma’s House

Grandma's House 8"x8"

Grandma’s House 8″ x 8″

This is a little painting of my Grandma’s house, which I have painted before. My style has changed quite a bit since the first one. I’m not sure who took this photo or how it got into my files, but thanks to the family member who shared it.

This painting is available as a print on Etsy.
